Salesian High Alumnus, Alejandro Chacon appointed Principal of Salesian High School.

Boyle Heights, CA (July 31, 2015)- Salesian High School Alumnus Alejandro Chacon (’94) appointed by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to serve as principal of his alma mater.

Chacon is a graduate of Salesian High School and Santa Teresita School. He served as principal of St. Monica Catholic High School in Santa Monica since 2010. He joined the faculty there in 2005 and has served as an English teacher, Department Coordinator, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal/Director of Advancement.

From 1998 through 2001 he served in various roles on the Salesian High School faculty as an English teacher, Dean of Students, Assistant Director of Admissions, and Cross Country Head Coach. He worked in development from 2001 through 2005 at Loyola Marymount University and then Cal Tech in Pasadena.
"I am excited to become the principal of the school that transformed my life as a teenager and provided me with every opportunity to succeed,” stated Chacon. “It has always been a dream of mine to come home to the place that instilled in me the importance of becoming a community man of integrity; one who gives back more than he takes. I look forward to diligently working with the faculty and staff in inspiring and educating students in the great Salesian tradition."
