Issaquah and Seattle, Wash. – Celebrating its production of The Who's TOMMY, Village Theatre has partnered with Jillian's to create Village Theatre’s Video Game Playoffs to find the best XBOX player in the area, one that could even rival Tommy, Broadway's longest standing gaming champ!
The Video Game Playoffs is an XBOX tournament open to all Washington state residents age 18 and older. No purchase is necessary to enter. Games to be played will be announced day of event. Open Rounds will be held at Jillian's in Seattle on May 20, 2007 from noon to 6:00 PM, where eight players with the highest scores of the day will become semi-finalists. From there, these eight semi-finalists will move on to the Final Rounds to be held at Village Theatre in Issaquah June 4, 2007 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM to compete, on the set of The Who’s TOMMY, for the title of “Gaming Wizard” and the following prizes:
· An XBOX 360 game package, including a game module and games;
· A Jillian's fun pack;
· The WHO music collection;
· Four “Best in House” tickets to Village Theatre’s The Who's TOMMY production;
· A private 30-minute pre-show backstage tour of Village Theatre;
· An opportunity to personally meet members of the cast following the show;
· A TOMMY poster signed by the cast.
