Florida Chiefs of Police Association and NCPCV Announce AC4P Policing Training Program

Actively Caring for People Policing is an applied behavioral science research-based community policing initiative out of Virginia Tech. The National Center for the Prevention of Community Violence has piloted the program in six communities across the United States with positive results. In addition, AC4P Policing has been endorsed by the Florida Police Chiefs Association. The goal of AC4P Policing is to provide a proven positive application to community policing while establishing a pathway to “citizen-centered policing.” AC4P Policing will provide a process for officers to engage citizens in a proactive approach to build enhanced police/citizen relations one encounter at a time.

· The Commander’s Role in AC4P Policing
· The Officer’s Role in AC4P Policing
