Dear Colleague,

It is my great pleasure to enclose Vermilion’s first newsletter of the year!

We have plans afoot – as revealed below- which we are very excited about! One thing that will never change is our commitment to providing the best care to your patients and the best service to you. We never take the referrals we receive for granted, and the entire team thanks you for your continued support and collaboration. We have enjoyed welcoming many of our friends and colleagues to Vermilion for CPD events over the past few months and we have a few more lined up. If you can’t join any of these events, don’t forget our open door policy – just pick up the phone if you wish to discuss a case or visit us any time.

I wish you all the very best for a busy and prosperous year ahead and hope to welcome you to Vermilion soon.

Best wishes,

David

VERMILION TO MAKE BORDERS DEBUT

Vermilion has been granted planning consent to create a specialist referral branch in the Scottish Borders. The proposed clinic is a new-build on the Pinnaclehill Industrial Estate in Kelso. Slated to open in summer 2017, the 250 square metre clinic will feature three fully-equipped surgeries with relaxing views looking south over rolling fieldsand a denture laboratory. The site will include ample parking space for patients, assuring ease of accessibility.

The clinic will operate solely on a referral-only basis inviting complex cases from general dental practitioners based in the Scottish Borders and Northumberland.

Vermilion wishes to thank its valued referrers in the Scottish Borders who have supported these plans and provided much encouragement during the application process.

“MEET TOM” – VERMILION’S NEW ORTHODONTIST

We are delighted to welcomeDr Tom Nasiopoulos DDS MDSc PhDregistered specialist in orthodontics to the Vermilion team!

Dr Nasiopoulos is a vastly experienced orthodontist with an infectious enthusiasm for his speciality. He has a particular interest in treating adult patients using clear braces and aligners. He will treat patients using the latest techniques, in particular digital impressions and case planning using the Trioss intra-oral scanner. Dr Nasiopoulos has been an Invisalign user and teacher since 2003, and is keen to work with general dental practitioners in Edinburgh to support their own orthodontic caseload.

We recognise that most dentists are offering orthodontic services to patients, and we have many experienced colleagues in East Central Scotland who have been using Invisalign, Six Month Smiles and other modalities with success for years. Our vision is that Tom provides mentorship and support for ortho-active dentists who would value support with treatment planning: a service which vets their cases and enables them to tackle appropriate ones within their competency, and the others they refer to Tom for specialist treatment.

Tom is keen to establish a study club for GDPs who are active with orthodontics, with a programme of verifiable CPD throughout the year. He will be hosting his first CPD event at Vermilion on the evening of Thursday, 26th January. If you would like to meet Tom, hear about the services he will offer and join this brand new Ortho Study Club, please email .
