Fall Leadership Conference
What is FASC Kickoff Conference?
Kickoff FASC is a one evening and one full day leadership development/energizer conference sponsored by the Florida Association of Student Councils (FASC).
Where and when will FASC Kickoff Conference take place?
All of the activities of the FASC Kickoff Clinic will take place on the campus of Boca Raton High School in Boca Raton, Florida. The conference will start on Friday, November 10 at 6:00pm, with dinner, and end at9:15 pm on Saturday, November 11, 2017.
What is the agenda for the FASC Kickoff Conference?
Actually there are two agendas, one for students and one for advisors.
Who may attend and how much does it cost?
Students and advisors from any middle or high school in the state of Florida may attend this conference. Delegates (student or adult) from FASC member schools pay $75 per delegate to attend. The fee for delegates from non-member schools is $125 per delegate.
Are there hotel accommodations for those delegations that cannot commute?
Yes, there are several hotels in the immediate vicinity of Boca Raton HS. The telephone numbers and rates are listed in another section of this pamphlet. Hint: As at state convention students can be housed four to a room.
Are meals provided at the conference?
Yes, delegates will get dinner Friday night, a snack Friday night, a continental breakfast Saturday morning, lunch, dinner, and a nightly snack before leaving.
Who are the featured presenters?
JESSE LEBEAUJesse understands the struggles youth can be faced with when trying to discover their ownidentity and purpose. Sharing his story, Jesse encourages teens to view their lives through anew lens and that life’s battles can be won, armed with a sense of humor, an optimistic attitude,and ultimately hard work.
DARIUS GLOVER This will start as an experience - a behind the scenes tour, if you will - of what life is like as the world's fastest paralyzed motocross rider. From staring at uphill battles, to looking at all of life's victories from the top of the mountain as he reaches success, this journey is sure to be a fun one.
ALEXA SCORE Alexa is a professional wakeboarder, author, and speaker living with cancer. After being diagnosed with Leukemia at 16, Alexa battled to beat the odds and achieve her dreams. Since then, she’s traveled the world and competed among the top female wakeboarders in the world.
PHILLIP CAMPBELLWith educational experience as a teacher, coach, athletic director, and principal, PC has fought the battles on the front lines of education and understands how to win and connect with today’s youth.
