Dear FAPT Member,
It is time to make plans for the 59th Annual Florida Association for Pupil Transportation (FAPT) Summer Conference. This year several districts throughout the state are working hard to host this conference. The 2006 Summer Conference location and dates are:

The FAPT Executive Committee is working hard to make this the best conference ever. Once again we will be offering a Pre-Conference Workshop on Transporting Students with Special Needs that will begin on Sunday afternoon, June 25th, and continue on the morning of Monday, July 26th. We encourage you to invite your counterparts in your district’s ESE Department.
For those persons involved in the district’s OTETA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program, there will be a Post-Conference Workshop, Thursday afternoon, June 29th, and Friday morning, June 30th. The training will contain Federal program updates, aggregated test results, and the required training for program supervisors.

Please review all the information and respond as soon as possible. The deadline to receive the hotel conference rate is May 22, 2006. If you wish to claim tax exempt status, you must have a district credit card, district check, or pay cash. The tax certificate must also be in the district’s name.
