2]MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING HELD ON MAY 25, 2016, were accepted as presented and signed by the chairman

3]DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST There were none

4]CLERK’S REPORT

The clerk advised members that the Section 137 expenditure limit for 2016-7 has increased to £7 42 per elector. Notts County Council had agreed to produce the Children Crossing sign near the Inholms Road Play area.

Rushcliffe Borough Council said they could not find the spilt paint on the pavement near the Islamic school. The clerk was to report the matter again.

The clerk asked if the council was represented on the village hall committee and it was felt they were not and that a notice appear in the next newsletter seeking interest from someone in the village to represent the council. The chairman said it did not need to be a councillor.

5]CORRESPONDENCE

Iain Munro. Churchwarden at the parish church, advised that no closure of St Augustine churchyard. Had ever been submitted. Seven Trent advised of the formation of a new joint company for Water Plus.

Land Registry advised of the completion of the Registrations of land on the North East side of Inholms Road

Rushcliffe Borough Council formal notification asset register – by group of 21 Notts residents. No decision yet by Rushcliffe on the application.

TimDring NottsCounty Council advised the broadband system from East Stoke Cabinet 1 had had all the work necessary completed to deliver Fibre to Flintham

16/01709/ful. Newfield Farm Screveton Ltd, 1-2 Inholms Cottage. Vehicle access and off road parking area. No objecton.

16/01684/ful. Matthew Wakefield, Orchard Cottage, Main Street, Enclosure of covered passage way and associated works. No objection.

Rushcliffe Borough Council decisions

Coun. Pennington said she had attended the Rushcliffe Borough Council planning seminar at Orston and had been impressed by the information made available to those present.

7]SPORTS GROUND AND PLAYPARK

The clerk was asked to inform Rushcliffe Borough Council that the waste bin at the Coney Grey play area was not being emptied. Coun. Brooks reported on the inspection he had made of the play equipment and said there was nothing serious to report. He said there had been some graffiti and it was agreed the clerk out an item in the next issue of the newsletter asking for anyone witnesses an incident to report it to the council so action could be taken against the person responsible.

8]FORMER ISLAMIC SCHOOL

There was no further news in regard to the proposals for the housing development on the site.

9]ENVIRONMENT

Discussion took place on a number of concerns in the village including blocked drains and a need for grass cutting and pavements overgrowth. The usefulness of the newsletter was remarked on.

The Big Lunch held in the village had in all involved around 100 people at three destinations and Coun. Mrs Clayton said she hoped it would continue to grow in the future. Coun. Mrs Clayton informed the meeting of the availability of a new lottery grant for community activities which was open to organisations with a bank account and to schools.

10]PROVISION OF DEFIBRILLATOR

Discussion took place on the proposed purchase of a defibrillator, with the chairman saying he felt three were needed to ensure the village would be well covered. Contact was being made with Heart Start in regard to possible funding. The council agreed in principle to go ahead with a project.

11]FINANCE

– TO AUTHORISE PAYMENT OF ACCOUNTS were approved as per the circulated list

12]VILLAGE EMERGENCY SCHEME UPDATE

A sheet outlining the details of the scheme was being produced.

The council gave a warm vote of thanks to Mr Mike Burn-Murdoch for all the work he had put in to produce the scheme report.
