Northwest Farm Credit Services, anearly 10 billion dollar agricultural cooperative that provides financing and related services to agricultural producers, is seeking a Marketing Research Analyst to join our Headquarters facilityin Spokane, WA.

Through Northwest FCS’ Market Research initiatives, data is collected, analyzed, and provided to senior management for decision making. Northwest FCS’ KnowledgeCenter’s mission is to question, collaborate, and institutionalize collective intelligence and information, advancing customer and organizational success. The KnowledgeCenter consists of 11 industry-focused Knowledge Teams comprised of over 120 staff.

The Market Research Analyst will support Northwest FCS’ KnowledgeCenter and Market Research through completion of the essential duties and responsibilities listed below. Key areas of focus include research and event coordination, professional writing, market research, and financial data analysis.

Position Information:

Primary responsibilities include supporting Northwest FCS’s KnowledgeCenter, planning and implementing research projects, assessing research project results, and administering and coordinating KnowledgeCenter activities such as symposiums and peer financial benchmarks. This position will be responsible for copyediting, authoring and producing KnowledgeCenter publications as well as conducting market research, analyzing marketplace information and maintaining this information. This position will also assist with the Business Management Center Program as needed.

Application of work includes recommendations to management and assistance with the development of business and marketing plans. Key success factors include attention to detail, familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research techniques, the ability to manage and coordinate coinciding projects, and an aptitude for critical thinking, problem solving and a comfort with public speaking and facilitating groups.

Qualifications:

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Business, Business Management, Economics, Finance, or Marketing. Candidates should have a minimum of one year progressively responsible experience in financial analysis or market research, statistical analysis, report writing, a high level of proficiency in written and verbal communications and general business concepts.Excellent computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet analysis, PowerPoint presentation development, and familiarity with Access are required. Experience in database development is preferred. Background or expressed interest in the agricultural industry, agricultural economy, and agricultural policy is desired. A masters degree is preferred but not required.
