  • Applicant must be the photographer and may submit only one photographper Awardper year.
  • Previously published photographs are not acceptable.
  • Submit application with 5 X 7" color photographaffixed to the reverse side. Photographmay be in horizontal or vertical format. Completed application in a plastic sheet protector must be received by applicant's District Awards Chairman by October 1st. Entriesjudged by special committee.

Annette Richter Award - For beauty of a Maryland Native vine, shrub or flower as expressed through photography; close-up shot preferred. An award sponsored by former FGCMD President Annette Richter will be presented to the winner. Any nativevine, shrub or flower is eligible, preferably grown by the photographer. Provide botanical name of the subject native plant and its location, and briefly describe growth habits and cultural needs that may be of interest to a future grower:

District Director’s Award - A $50 cash award may be presented to the winner for beauty of flower, fruit or leaf formation of an annual plant, tree or shrub, bird or bug expressed through photography. A close-up shot is preferred Applicant must be the photographer. Sponsored by FGCMD District Directors. Provide botanical name of the subject tree or shrub andits location, and briefly describe growth habits and cultural needs that may be of interest to a future grower:

Harry C. Reynolds Award - For beauty of tree or shrub in overall silhouette as expressed through photography. An award sponsored by the Gardening Study Consultants Council will be presented to the winner. Any tree or shrub is eligible, preferably grown by the photographer. Provide botanical name of the subject tree or shrub andits location, and briefly describe growth habits and cultural needs that may be of interest to a future grower:

Mary F. Fitzpatrick Award - For artistic excellence in flower arrangement as expressed through photography. An award sponsored by Judges Council will be presented to the winner. Applicant must be both the photographer and arranger. Any type of flower arrangement, alone or in any setting including those for show or for personal use, is acceptable (try to have a plain background for ease of viewing the design). Remove cards and award ribbons if a Flower Show design. Briefly describe container, accessories, mechanics, background and plant material used in the design (artificial flowers/foliage prohibited):
