… TRANSFERRABLE TRUTHS from God’s Call To Participation In His Purpose

If we are to be drawn up into participation with God in His great and unrelenting purpose and if we are to discover our greatest meaning and purpose in life as well, we have to …

  • We First Have to “Turn Aside” In Order To Truly “See” God As He Is

Moses had to “turn aside” before God called Him into His purpose …

  • We Have To Genuinely Understand God’s Purposes

Created “in the image” of God to represent and display Him …

A people who will put God on display …

“The people whom I formed for Myself will declare My praise.” (Isa. 43:21)

Followers of Christ today …

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, aholy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light …” (I Peter 2:9)

  • We Too Will Have To Struggle With A Sense of Inadequacy

“… manifest(ing) through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.”

(2 Cor. 2:14)

“Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant …” (2 Cor. 3:4-6)

  • Being Part of God’s Purposes Means Stepping Out in Faith

A “fulfillment” sign … Calls us to great faith!

  • We Must Be Obedient In Our Relationship With God

“Now it came about at the lodging place on the way that the Lord met him and sought to put him to death.” (Ex. 4:24)

When God calls draws us up into His purposes, we had better

be obedient, not just in some things, in all things!

If I want to be drawn up into the grand purposes of our powerful God (and find the greatest significance in life) …

  • I have to be willing to “turn aside” from the call of normal activities if I am to see and hear God!
  • I have to genuinely understand (and embrace) God’s greatest purpose for my life!
  • I will have to wrestle with my sense of inadequacy!
  • I will have to turn to God in great faith!
  • I will have to be willing to be obedient to Him in all things!
