An exhibition stand is a workplace covered by health and safety legislation. As the exhibitor it is your responsibility to ensure that a suitable and sufficient risk assessment is completed.

This template is for a simple shell scheme exhibition stand which does not require any approval from the organiser.

Please complete this form recording all your risk assessment details (we have added some examples of risks you may wish to include. Please note this is for guidance only and not an exhaustive list). The organiser cannot be held responsible for failure to complete a sufficient risk assessment for your exhibition stand.

ADDITIONAL ELECTRICAL INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES: IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

Regulations now govern the electrical installations at most UK venues. The most pertinent are listed.

A full list is available from the venue.

All labour working on electrical installations must have proof of their competence, i.e. BECA registered or JIB approved
Adaptors are not permitted
Only one 4-waytrailing outlet (maximum 500w) per socket outlet may be used
Flexible cord (Round Cable) may not be longer than 2 metres
ELCB protection is required for each socket less than 2 metres (measured horizontally) from any sink unit/water outlet
Any complaints regarding electrical installations must be reported in writing before the close of the event
Unless supplied with drawing the installation will be fitted at the electricians discretion
