Purpose:

The ELT is to be a model of collaborative leadership who will analyze, debate, and decide on critical issues that fundamentally affect CSU. The ELT meetings will ensure all members of ELT are informed on pertinent issues. Each member of the ELT will be encourage to grow as a leader to better serve the university.

Under Discussion:

  1. Enrollment Report

The overall numbers of enrollment are up slightly for the Fall. With the new enrollment schedule CSU hopes that the new process will prompt more student to attend.

ELT members to meet and go more in-depth of the enrollment/recruitment consultant report soon.

  1. Extended Orientation Program

New students will have the opportunity to enhance their collegiate experience before classes begin, starting Thursday, August 3 – Sunday, August 6, 2017.

This new camp is called Camp P.R.O.W.L. (Pride, Relationship, Opportunities, Wisdom, Leadership) Camp P.R.O.W.L. gives students, a memorable experience designed to focus on student success in the transition from high school to college.

The camp is a four day, threenights off campus all-inclusive experience, that will engage students in a fun and energizing program that creates an exciting entrance into the first year at CSU. Students can register through the ROAR Orientation Registration site.

  1. Inclusion Survey Findings

Members of the ELT will meet with Johniqua Williams and Snyder Remarks Consultant to review the full report of the Diversity Awareness and Inclusion Project in-depth on May 9, 2017.

  1. Reimbursement for Travel Between Main Campus and River Park

A new policy about reimbursement for travel between Main Campus and River Park has been established by the Executive Leadership Team with approval of the President.

  1. Flexible Hours Option for June and July

Effective June 2017, Columbus State University will implement a flexible hours option for summer months of June and July.

  1. Dean’s Presentation

Once a month a Dean from each college will be asked to present to the ELT members their annual report of their division of accomplishments in an academic year and if they have met the goals set from the previous year. This reporting allows each college to set goals for the upcoming year that aligns with institutional mission, vision, strategic plan, additionally, the direction of the President.

Thursday, April 20 Dean Cindy Ticknor with the Honors College will presentedher annual report to the group.

Effective July 1, 2017, parking decals will be required for all vehicles parked campus.
