Reporting to the Principal, the Executive Director of Advancement and Community Relations is a key member of Havergal’s Senior Leadership Team and will serve on the Advancement Committee of Havergal’s Board of Governors. The Executive Director will oversee and manage a dedicated team across the portfolios of major gifts, annual giving, special events, alumnae communications and prospect research. The Executive Director will serve as an ambassador for Havergal College both within the school and to the broader community, demonstrating the role and importance of advancement and community relations, and advancing the mission and reputation of Havergal College. The Executive Director will manage a portfolio of high net-worth donors committed to the vision of the school and provide strategic oversight to the stewardship of potential and current donors through donor recognition and programs. The Executive Director will oversee and provide guidance to the Havergal College Parent Association, and play a key role in alumnae relations through the support of Havergal’s Old Girls, a vibrant network of over 9,000 accomplished women living in more than 65 countries around the world.

The ideal candidate is a successful fundraiser with a proven track record of proactively increasing philanthropic revenue related to capital campaigns and alumnae engagement activities. You bring a minimum of ten years’ experience in senior positions within the Advancement field and demonstrated experience securing seven and eight figure major gifts from within in sophisticated, complex, multi-stakeholder environment. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of major gifts, annual giving, capital campaigns and alumnae affairs. You are a strong leader and mentor, and have a talent for encouraging teams to reach their full potential, while ensuring deadlines and revenue targets are met. You must possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, and have the ability to connect with donors, alumnae, students, parents, faculty, staff and Board Members to encourage their commitment in the mission and vision of Havergal College.
