Evening Chronicle Wish Tokens
Please remember to get family and friends to collect the tokens published in the Evening Chronicle every night. We would also like to ask if any of your local shops would display a poster asking customers to save these tokens for our school, if so could you please let us know and we will send one home with your child.
Disabled Living Allowance (DLA)
We have organised a workshop with Contact a Family for any parents/carers who are about to apply for DLA or renew their DLA on Friday 18th November at Gibside School Whickham. If you would like to attend, please register your interest by contacting our Family Support Worker, Julie Greenslade, on 0191 441 0123.Places are limited, however, we anticipate holding another event early in the new year.
FOGS Christmas Raffle
FOGs will be running their Christmas raffle again this year and we are asking for donations of raffle prizes. We are looking to make up a variety of hampers with food, drink, sweets, biscuits & toiletries etc. Can any items please be sent into school by 1st December and clearly labelled “Christmas raffle”. Thank you for your support!
Poppy Appeal
We will be selling items for the British Royal Legion in school this week- please send in any money if you would like to donate. We have paper poppies for a donation, 20p for pencils/rubbers, 50p for poppy pins/key rings and £1 for slap band rulers/wrist bands.
Children’s Safety
As you are aware the school is increasingly busy on a morning and afternoon due to increased transport into school and more parents dropping pupils off. Can we please ask that cars are parked with consideration (i.e. not blocking disabled bays or roads into school), that reversing in the school is avoided where possible and that children are supervised at all times until they are with a member of staff. If you have any further concerns around this please let us know.

Please remember to send in all shoeboxes or your donation into school by Wednesday 16th November.
