Compact Automatic Fuel Filling Station
Scope:
Provide for wall-mount installation at delivery truck curbside, a Simplex Compact Automatic Fuelport with spill containment, overfill prevention and automatic fill shutoff in the filling of an above ground storage tank. Fuel filling station shall be a factory-packaged system as manufactured by Simplex, Inc., Compact Automatic FuelPort model CAFP-2, Springfield, IL, and shall be approved by FDEP under EQ-706.
Performance:
Fuel filling station shall be designed for filling of one main tank from a fuel truck.
Construction:
Fuel filling station shall be of wall or rack-mounted design, with lockable full weatherproof enclosure and 7-gallon spill containment sump. Fuel filling station shall include a 2” quick-disconnect hose coupling for fuel delivery vehicle connection and all accessories and controls as described below.
Components:
Fuel filling station shall include the following primary components:
1. Level transmitter and electrically-operated shut-off valve.
2. Shut-off ball valves installed on outlet of fuel fill station.
3. Check valve
4. Spill sump drain valve.
5. Ground stud.
6. UL508 fuel level controller and alarm indicator panel for monitoring of fuel tank. Controller shall include:
a) 90% visual alarm
b) 95% visual alarm
c) tank leak alarm with sensor included
d) digital level indicator, scaled in percent.
e) audible alarm horn activated by alarms above
f) power available indicator
g) control power on/off switch
h) valve open/close pushbuttons
i) NEMA 3R control enclosure
