PURPOSEOFJOBToprovideassistance inthepreparation,servingand clearing awayofschoolmeals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Toassistasdirected,with all aspectsofthepreparation of foodand

beverages.Servemeals to pupils,staffand visitorsand toundertakeaspectsofcleaningas necessary.

DUTIES:

1.ToensurethatcomplianceinaccordancewiththeFoodSafetyAct1990legislationbyfollowingstrictguidelinesregarding hygiene,safetyandcleanliness inall tasks, atall times.

2.Tocomplywithalltheappropriatelegalrequirementsinthekitchen,andcomplywiththeSchool’sHealth andSafetyPolicy..

3.Toassist,as directed,withallaspectsofthepreparation,production andpresentationof food.

4.Toassistwith theserving at thecounter,or fromthetrolley as required.

5.Toassist in loading servicecounters, as andwhendirected.

6.Toundertakeallaspectsinthecleaningofcateringequipmentincludingwalls(upto6ft),floors,fixturesand fittings,totheorganisation’sstandard.

7.To ensurethattables areleft clean.

8.To ensure ahigh standardof personaland generalcleanlinessand hygiene.

9.Toassistatspecial functionssomeofwhichmayoccuroutsidenormalworking hours.

10.Toreportcomplaintstoappropriatemanager.

11.To report immediately any incidents of - accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food orotherirregularities.

12.Toattendmeetingsandtrainingcoursesasmaybenecessary,fromtimetotime.

13.Undertakinganyotherdutieswhichmayreasonablyberegardedaswithinthenatureofthedutiesandresponsibilities/gradeofthepostasdefined.
