It was suggested that some kind of signage recognizing Fairpoint’s donation be put up at the West Ellensburg Rotary Ball fields. Marty will check with Jeff Greear.
Requests:
$500 for Santa Claus (Bill Amo) to help with the Christmas presents he will distribute to the Lincoln Elementary Choir and other community children --M/S Crowe/Haggerty Approved
$1000 guarantee for Christmas Basket program. The club will augment individual members’ contributionsup to that amount. --- M/S Crowe/Schwab Approved
$1000 guarantee for Community Thanksgiving Dinner -- Approved at the last meeting.
Red Cross Heroes Breakfast event sponsor for March 2008 -- Tabled M/S Wise/Crowe
Hospice --Not approved because it would be giving money to another fundraising group rather than funding specific community projects.
Clothing Bank-- JoAnn will address the general membership asking for clothes to be brought to club on November 28th to then be delivered to the clothing bank.
Katrina Fund -- Marty has contacted the Rotary Club of Biloxi, Mississippi. They indicated they are still in need. Will send them the money as long as the Biloxi Club agrees to send us information on how the money will be spent. M/S Rowley/Crowe Approved

Greeters-- Marty encouraged getting new members involved more with greeting duties
Foundation Update – 53 contributing members, $8300 raised to date
District Governor Nomination– The club will be nominating Stambaugh for 2011-2012
District Conference
Stambaugh will chair the Rotary Leadership Institute, a full day Friday conference offering.
Members were named as chairs of the various committees: Marly Crowe-home hosting; Slyfield-chaperoneRI representative; Madsen-accommodations; Decker-GSE team; Bob Crowe-parking and bars; Tasker-women; Schwab-recreation
Need a chair to be in charge of ushers.
The major donor event has been moved to Thursday evening and combined with the past-presidents’ get together after the barbeque.
There won’t be a vintage car show as previously thought. Graig Schwab is investigating other options for recreation.
