ELIGIBILITY FOR AN AWARD
The Mayor is seeking out for recognition a West Devonindividual or a firm or other organisation who/which
- has done something particularly noteworthy within the Borough or
- has enhanced the reputation of the Borough on the national stage or,
- made a significant contribution to the conservation and protection of the natural environment of West Devon
An individual can include a person temporarily living away from the Borough but whose main place of residence remains in West Devon.
Three Awards are to be made - a nomination form for each category is attached. Each form sets out the eligibility criteria. A nominator can put forward nominations in each category and for as many nominees as they wish
HOW TO NOMINATE
Nominations are to be submitted in writing, using the nomination form(s) attached, which should be returned to the Mayor’s PA,West Devon Borough Council, KilworthyPark,Drake Road, Tavistock, PL19 0BZ

Nominations to be received by not later than 28 February 2018
JUDGING
The Judges will be the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor and one other Councillor who will make their decision not later than Friday 9 March 2018and the winners (and persons nominating them) will be notified immediately thereafter.

THE MAYOR’S GREEN AWARD
The Award has been created to recognize and highlight the work done by INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS who have made a significant contribution to the conservation and protection of the natural environment of West Devon. This includes work on carbon reduction schemes, environmental projects, recycling, sustainable energy projects, green transport project and community work promoting, carrying out or highlighting any of the above. If you know of a real ‘green go getter’ (individual or organisation) who deserves to be recognized for their contribution and hard work in West Devon to preserving our wonderful environment then please nominate them for this award.
