SHORT TENDER NOTICE

Sealed & superscribed tenders are invited from reputed and experienced Transport Contractors on firm rate basis for the below mentioned work on "Annual Contract Basis".

Tender Specification No. : CGM(C)/Gen.II/KRD/PRL/PRS/K'KHEDA/

Steel/T-11/2007-2008.

Name of work: Annual Contract for Management liaison, Transportation, unloading, stacking etc. of steel material from the stockyard of various steel producers and/or their conversion agents situated in / around Nagpur to Parli / Paras / Khaperkheda T.P.S.

Estimated weight of the material -(1) 2100 M.T. for Parli

(2) 1300 M.T. for Paras

(3) 500 M.T. for Khaperkheda

(Total - 3900 M.T.).

Total Estimated cost of above work - Rs.72,74,500=00

Earnest Money Deposit- Rs.72,745/- (By D.D. only),

Tender Fee - Rs.5,000/- (By D.D. only)

payable to the Executive Engineer (C), Civil Dn.No.III, Koradi.

Due date and time of submission of offer - Upto 13.00 Hrs. on dt.18/10/2007.

Due date and time of opening of tender - at 13.30 Hrs. on the same day if possible in presence of such tenderers or their authorised representatives who choose to remain present.

Note : Estimated weight is tentative which may vary on either side.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

(1)Blank Tender form can be obtained from the office of the Chief General Manager (Civil) Gen.II, MSPGCL, Koradi, Nagpur from dt. 08/10/2007 to 17/10/2007 on working days between 11.00 to 16.00 Hrs. on the payment of Rs. 5,000/- By D.D. only. Tender shall be obtained in person only and no tender copy shall be issued by post.

(2)The tender documents are not transferable. Change in name and address of any kind will not be entertained. The tenders duly sealed and superscribed with Tender No., due date, opening date and time etc., will be accepted in working hours upto due date and time as given above.

(3)The tenders will not be accepted after due date and time. Tenders without superscribing the Tender No. and due date on the cover will be disqualified.

(4)If the due date happens to be holiday, the due date and opening date both will be extended to the next working day in the same sequence with no change in timings.

(5)The address for acceptance and opening of tender is Office of the Chief General Manager (Civil) Gen.II, MSPGCL, Koradi, Nagpur.

(6)The Company does not accept any responsibility for delay in issue or receipt of the tender document by post or in person.

(7)The tender documents once issued against demand letter and money receipt cannot be cancelled or transferred or replaced or substituted on any ground and tender fee paid against such tender document shall not be refunded at all.

(8)The Company reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever.

(9)Prequalifying conditions are as follows:-

(i)The tenderer should have executed similar type of work (i.e. transportation of steel material such as Beams, RSJ's, Rails, Channels, Angles, Flats, Rounds, TMT bars, Plates etc. of standard length and size, involving a lead of atleast 250 Kms.) for projects of Govt./Semi Govt. Deptt. successfully and satisfactorily having completed work value not less than 70% of the estimated cost under a single contract during last three years and the tenderer should posses certificate to that effect from the officer-in-charge of the concerned department not below the rank of Executive Engineer of having completed the work satisfactorily under a single contract.

OR

The average annual turnover of the tenderer during last three years in executing the works of similar nature (as given above in 8) shall not be less than estimated cost of the work put to tender. The tenderer shall produce Chartered Accountant's certificate to that effect which is based on certificate issued by the officer of Govt./ Semi Govt. Department not below the rank of Executive Engineer of having completed the work of similar nature.

(ii)The tenderer should own atleast 10 Nos. of trailors of adequate capacity and atleast one crane of minimum 10 M.T. capacity. The tenderer should submit documentary proof of owning above machinery.
