Teaching and Assessment in Dentistry [TAD]
1-2 December 2016

The role of Teaching and Assessment in the clinical workplace has now become well established. All clinicians who work formally with trainees are expected to demonstrate an understanding of the basic theory and practice underlying Teaching and Assessment. This course will work through various tried and tested theories underpinning teaching and assessment and will be of interest to all those interested in getting involved within this field alongside clinical practice.

Educational Aims & Objectives:

§  To outline and discuss the tried and tested theories underpinning teaching and assessment.

§  To demonstrate and practice techniques in teaching for various sized groups.

§  To demonstrate and practice techniques for teaching skills.

§  To describe and evaluate a range of assessment techniques, including those currently in use for in workplace assessment.

This study day will attract 10 CPD credits.
