ECTS Learning Agreement

Guidelines

Please read the following guidelines carefully before completing the ECTS Learning Agreement below.

Choosing your programme of study

Study guides

Before completing your Learning Agreement, please read the Erasmus study guide for your academic department. This is the academic department at the University of Bristol that has an exchange with your home university. Study guides can be found at:

http://www.bristol.ac.uk/international/study/erasmus/studies.html#guides

Unit catalogue

You can also look at the Unit Catalogue which contains details of all undergraduate units at the University, including which semester the unit will run. Not all units are available to Erasmus students, but your departmental Erasmus study guide will explain which units you can take.

http://bristol.ac.uk/esu/unitprogcat/AboutUnits.jsa?ayrCode=13%2F14

Please note that you may not be able to take all of the courses that you choose and your study options will be discussed in full once you arrive in Bristol, where you will be assigned a personal tutor.

ECTS – European Credit Transfer System

·  On your Learning Agreement you need to write the number of ECTS credits for each course. You should take 30 ECTS credits per semester and 60 ECTS credits for a full year of study.

·  Please note that University of Bristol credit points are used in the Unit Catalogue, which double the amount of ECTS credits, as explained below:

ECTS credits / University of
Bristol credits
1 semester / 30 / 60
1 academic year / 60 / 120
