August 15, 2016

Supervisor Rapp called the regular meeting of the Eckford Township Board to order at 7:30 p.m. Others in attendance were Clerk Hinkley, Treasurer Baylis, Trustee Cornell, M. Frohm, B. Haeske, L. Blight, D. Damon & Dan Livingston from Fredonia Twp.

ABSENT: K. Lawrence

Supervisor Rapp led the group in the pledge and T. Baylis gave the invocation.

CLERK MINUTES

A copy of the minutes have been sent to the board by Clerk Hinkley. A motion was made by Trustee Cornell to approve the regular minutes of the July 18, 2016 Regular meeting. Treasurer Baylis seconded the motion. CARRIED

FINANCIAL STATEMENT

Treasurer Baylis gave the financial statement for July.

RECEIPTS $ 3,141.51

DISBURSEMENTS $ 26,111.99

BILLS TO Pay $ 13,384.04

Trustee Cornell made a motion to approve the finance report and pay the bills of August 15, 2016. Clerk Hinkley seconded the motion. CARRIED

HOMER FIRE BOARD REPORT

Given by Supervisor Rapp, the Authority is still moving forward. Treasure Baylis asked if it will go in effect at the beginning of their fiscal year? Supervisor Rapp stated, yes. They had the ladder truck in Homer to try it out. They liked it and are looking into the purchase phase.

ZONING ADMINISTRATORS REPORT

Given by B. Rapp, M. Dobbins has applied for a permit for a garage. The new house on Division Drive has had some problems as the Building Inspector is requiring more things from the builder. The Troyers who purchased the old Mahrle barn on G. Drive are going to be building a house.

LIBRARY REPORT

Given by M. Frohm, from August 29 through September 5 the library will be closed for renovations. When they re-open on September 6th they will start their after school projects which are funded by the Community Foundation.

CITIZENS COMMENTS

B. Haeske shared updates for Wilder Creek.

Dan Livingston from Fredonia Township along with Doug Damon, Supervisor for Fredonia Township spoke about the roads they are wanting to do that join with Eckford Township. They are looking at H Drive S., G. Drive S and 18 Mile Road. We will look at those roads and let them know what we can do in partnership with them.
