Job Title:Resettlement Worker

Responsible To: Resettlement Team Leader

Job Purpose

  • To assist in the development of Eaves Resettlement Service.
  • To provide resettlement support to women who are making the transition to independent living.
  • To reach women across London, providing support through a range of activities – one to one work, group work and training, and through the production of a Resettlement Manual.
  • To participate in the running of Eaves Day Centre

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

1.Provision of Services

1.1Assist in the development of Eaves Resettlement Service, and other associated services based at Eaves Day Centre.

1.2Participate in the design of and deliver fortnightly independent living skills workshops, in conjunction with the Resettlement Team Leader.

1.3Develop and maintain a Resettlement Resource File with information and resources necessary to support women including housing, education, health, employment, counselling, substance misuse services, welfare benefits, legal rights, child protection, resettlement and independent living

1.4Operate a drop in and telephone advice service for women moving to independent living and women with substance misuse problems

1.5Assist in running a monthly support group for women with substance misuse problems

1.6Run outreach support sessions for women moving into independent accommodation

1.7Assist in the production and dissemination of a Resettlement Manual to support women moving into independent accommodation

1.8Maintain administrative systems for the Resettlement Service

1.9Participate in the Resettlement Team meetings

2. Day Centre Duties

2.1Contribute to the smooth running of Eaves Day Centre by participating in the Centre Duty Rota covering for colleagues where necessary

2.2Attend and contribute to the Centre team meetings.

3.Monitoring and Evaluation

3.1Assist with ensuring compliance with funding requirements

3.2Assist with the development of a Referrals Monitoring system for the Resettlement Project ensuring young women from specific London Boroughs are accessing the service

3.3Assist with the evaluation of the resettlement project through service user consultation mechanisms

3.4Assist with the development of promotional material

4.Promote Eaves’ services across London Boroughs

4.1In liaison with the Resettlement Team Leader promote Eaves’ services to a range of agencies across London Boroughs, using effective and targeted methods that result in referrals

4.2Develop and maintain working links with Support Workers who refer clients to Eaves’ services
