4 / Head Teachers Report
·  HC focusing on Quality Assurance calendar and then will look at Events calendar thereafter and hopes to share in coming week.

5 / PC Priorities for 2016/17
·  Fundraising and more fun/worthwhile events to engage parents in the school. Ideas are:
o  Rookie Rockstars – HC happy to support but needs some time to bed-in to the role. Proposed it is tied in to perhaps an anti-bullying week in the Spring. Need to understand more around logistics of putting on the show etc but agreed in principle.
o  Christmas cards – JP obtained a pack and passed to RM who will look into this.
o  Hopscotch Panto – Aladin - £1095 for 2 shows on Sat 3rd December. Could tie in to a Festive/Winter Fair with stalls (kids make decorations/baking/Christmas cards/ nearly new uniforms/PC hotdogs/popcorn/etc). Would have set number of tickets per show. Only have 150 seats but could use benches too? Consider prices. Agreed to progress (£200 deposit).
o  Crooky Curry Night adults only in Café Asia - ticketed 3 courses for £11.95. BYOB. Thurs 13th Oct before Mid Term Hol. Could do c. 60 covers and would donate raffle prizes. We could charge £15 to raise funds plus do a raffle.
o  Halloween parties PC happy to help and work with the school to combine parties during the day for lower school and in the evening for P4-5 & 6-7. HC to discuss at staff mtg on Wed to canvas teacher views.
o  Once we have dates for some of the above – LF or GC will update Facebook page with Dates for Your Diary (or Fridge!) / RM

6 / Parent Zone/Hut
·  HC confirmed that the PC would still have use of the Hut going forward although this would not be exclusive use as the school will use it for other purposes from time to time such as dental visits, etc.
·  Idea to do a first aid course to engage parents and make use of the hut.
·  HC suggested scheme where people volunteer skills (gardening, child minding, handy man, etc) and people bid for them (skills auction) to raise funds for schools and improve community collaboration. / RG
7 / AOCB
·  Respect Me bullying workshop running Wed 31/08 7-9pm at Carmyle Primary. RM & AM aiming to attend.
·  HC advised that the PC would be welcome to attend a staff meeting.
·  RM asked if Office staff could continue to help with printing and disseminating of newsletters. HC advised that the school would be looking to reduce amount of paper by asking if parents would like to opt for electronic updates.
8 / Date of Next Meeting – 12 September 2016
