Redden Fund for the Improvement of Undergraduate Instruction – FY19
This form should be used by faculty who seek grants from the Eastern Illinois University Foundation to provide assistance in funding their research or instructional activity for the improvement of undergraduate instruction. Awards are limited to a maximum of $1,500.00. Faculty may apply for more than one Redden Grant. Application forms are to be submitted to your Department Chair by May18, 2018 to allow time for prioritization at the department, college, and VPAA levels prior to submission to the Foundation Executive Officer. Final funding priorities are made by the VPAA and the actual number of grants funded is dependent on total funds available.
Redden Grants awarded in FY19 must be spent by December 31, 2019. Unspent monies will be returned so that additional faculty can benefit from Redden Grants.
Redden Grants are linked to grant deliverables and expenses must be associated with the specific project and timeline outlined in the grant proposal.Please, provide enough details in your grant proposal to adequately assess the grant request. Failure to do so will result in the proposal being denied funding.
Redden Grant recipients will be provided access to awarded funds via an account specific to the awarded Redden Grant. Recipients will be provided access to the account by the Business Office.
Redden Grant recipients must provide a final report describing how the FY19 grant funds were utilized to enhance undergraduate education. The brief report can be submitted by email to Jonathan McKenzie, EIU Foundation Executive Officer, no later than December 31, 2019.
