Children’s book proposal:

Throughout the year, we have discussed and investigated many earth science topics and concepts and how they not only relate to each other, but how they affect our daily lives. I have included a list of general topics for your reference. You may choose one of these topics or go out on your own!

A good example of what I might be looking for would be “The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That” series.

You will write a proposal and summarize what your book will be about, how you will use earth science concepts and terminology. Be detailed in your summary. Write at least seven complete sentences that completes your proposal for an Earth science themed children’s book.PROPOSAL IS DUE AT THE END OF CLASS ON 19A/20B

You might want to type out your sentences you will be using in your book before you come to class so that you can glue them in the book you will be making on the 21(A) and 22(B). I will have construction paper for you to use and supplies but you are welcome to bring your own.

Please be creative, organized and thorough when writing your proposal and creating your book. To have a successful children’s book you must remember to be creative!

You will be able to work on this project in class on May 19 and May 21 (A) and May 20 and 22(B).
