Guidelines for Woodford County Community Fund Youth Enhancement Grant

If you could do a program/project in Woodford County

to make life better for youth, what would you do?

Purpose of the grant / To empower our youth to be advocates for their own interests related to the quality of life and economic opportunities in Woodford County.
To inspire creative ideas from youth that provide new opportunities or build on existing opportunities that enhance the quality of life for youth in Woodford County.
To encourage youth/adult action partnerships where youth are the primary leaders.
To promote youth/organizational action partnerships where youth bring a diversity of their assets to the common actions.
To illustrate how youth can leverage additional dollars and other resources in support of programs or activities they initiate
Eligibility for grant / Persons submitting grants must be 14 -18 years of age.
Grants must be submitted by a 501(c)3 nonprofit or a unit of government on behalf of the youth.
Grants focusing on enhancing educational, economic, cultural, artistic, emotional, physical or recreational opportunities are especially welcomed.
If matching funds are going to be used, a letter from the granting organization must accompany this application.
If other types of resources are going to be contributed by organizations, a letter affirming this commitment should accompany this proposal.
Requirements for the grant proposal / A clear statement of the purpose of the grant program/project. What are you intending to do with the grant?
A clear statement of the desired outcome(s) as a result of the implementation of the grant. What impact do you want to have on the youth of Woodford County and how you will measure the outcome(s)?
A clear statement of how the desired outcome(s) will be achieved. The statement must be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant to your purpose and have a time-line indicating what you will do and when to complete the program/project.
Explain, if appropriate, how the program/project will be sustained after this funding ends.
*A statement as to whether you will be seeking additional funds to support the proposed program/project, and if so, what might be the sources for this and the amount you are seeking.
An indication of partnerships that will support the grant program/project. Note what you are expecting partners to do to assist and what they will receive for their support.
An estimated budget that indicates how grant and other funds (or matching resources) will be spent in support of the program/project.
*Monetary support from other sources is not a requirement for this grant

Probability of successful implementation
Geographic accessibility of proposed program/project
Potential number of Woodford County youth and families impacted
A youth/adult or youth/organizational partnership of some type is encouraged or an outcome of the grant
