Softball – Sports Rep Debbie Croasdale

Varsity – The varsity team has four senior players. They are Kendall Kiesewetter, Cheri DeVino, Kaitlyn Johnson and Amanda Zamorski. These girls and their parents will be recognized on Wednesday, May 11th during their home game against Warren Hills. The teams’ record is currently 11 and 5. They recently lost to Kittatinny knocking them out of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament. However, they are currently in first place in their division with a big game against Voorhees coming up this Thursday. Danielle Novotny is three hits away from breaking the school record. Kaitlyn Johnson pitched a no hitter against North Warren and a perfect game against Mount St. Mary’s. There are 9 games left in their regular season.

JV – The JV team is currently 8-1 with nine games remaining in the season. As mentioned last month, several freshmen continue to play on the team.

Freshmen – The freshmen girls, coached by Mike Gurysh, have finally had a few games. The freshmen softball team is 4-2. This includes one no hitter and one perfect game by Megan Mount. The highlight of the season was that after they lost to Warren Hills earlier in the season 7-6, they beat them last Thursday 21-2. Because Varsity/JV had to make up some games due to weather, they are currently waiting to see when their next game is going to be as their games conflicted with the freshmen schedule.

The overall team record is 1 win (against Warren Hills) and 3 losses (against Voorhees, Somerville and Pingry).
