Conference “GP in Motion”

A special organized English program has been made for you as one of our international guests during our GP trainee conference “GP in motion”, on the 23rd of January in Utrecht, the Netherlands (see attachment). We expect you to play an active role in our program. This way we will be able to learn and benefit from each other experiences.

Dutch hosts and social program

Each foreign GP trainee will be accompanied by a Dutch GP trainee, who will be your host during the first two days and nights of the program. During this period, various local social activities will be organised. The last 2 nights you will stay at a hotel near the conference centre in Utrecht. The evening before the conference there will be a social program for all European GP trainees and the organizing committee. On the day of the conference there will be a dinner and party for all participants of the conference.

Costs

For every 20 VdGM-affiliated countries a GP trainee may be selected to follow the exchange program without any costs of travel (to and from The Netherlands and within the country), stay and the congress day on Friday including dinner and party. Food and social activities on the other days are on your own expenses.

The remaining 20 participants will have to finance the costs mostly by them selves. The congress and party are subsidised by the congress committee. The total costs will be approximately € 350 (excluding your travel costs to and from the Netherlands). Around € 250 euros need to be paid to the WES for the fixed costs , the other ± € 100 euro will be spend by yourself for food/travelling costs etc. within the Netherlands.

Application procedure

The Europe Council members of the 20 VdGM-affiliated countries will take care of the selection procedure. They are requested to select 1 GP trainee to participate in the whole exchange program for free and they will appoint a maximum of 2 GP trainees who want to participate at their own costs. If the situation occurs that there are extra places available, both of the candidates selected, will be able to participate in the program. If more information about the selection procedure is needed, please contact the VdGM Europe Council Member of your country.
