JOB TITLE:Lottery Promoter

BASE:Postholder’s Domicile

RESPONSIBLE TO:Lottery Promotions Co-ordinator

ACCOUNTABLE TO:Lottery Manager

HOURS:Part-time or Full time considered

(To include days, evenings and weekends)

JOB PURPOSE:

You will be required to work throughout Leicestershire and Rutland in venues and at fundraising events engaging face to face to help increase support for the Hospice by recruiting new lottery players to the LOROS Lottery.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • To recruit new players to the LOROS Lottery through promotional stands within specific designated areas in Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland and in compliance with the Gambling Act 2005.
  • To maximise awareness of the LOROS Lottery and to inform individuals about the work of LOROS and the services provided.
  • To generate contacts regularly within the area(s) assigned to make promotional stand bookings.
  • To identify the most appropriate days, times and locations to maximise the effect of potential work (i.e. high footfall, different customers)
  • To plan and maintain a comprehensive schedule of promotional stand bookings by managing your own diary (at least 1 month in advance).
  • To achieve pre-determined targets for number of members recruited and retained.
  • To submit all relevant paperwork and monies to the Lottery Office during a weekly meeting at an agreed time.

IN ADDITION

  • Ensure that detailed records are maintained of all activities as required.
  • Prepare the coding of leaflets prior to commencing promotional activity.
  • Distribute promotional material from time to time as required.
  • Work in different assigned areas at different times, as agreed with the Lottery Promotions Coordinator (Within the catchment area)
  • Attend quarterly Sales Meetings and subsequent meetings at the Lottery Office.
  • Be responsible for lodging timesheets on a weekly basis and expenses claims on a monthly basis.
  • Attend such meetings with LOROS Lottery staff as may be required from time to time
  • Ensure any vehicle used for the post will be roadworthy and reliable and adequately insured.
  • Undertake such other related duties as may from time to time reasonably be required.
