More money in the bank, more time in your day. Here’s how to do both with these Rx tips.
Let’s make sure you get more “bank” for your Rx bucks!
Whether you take prescription drugs on a regular basis, or just every now and then, you can still save a whole lot of cash and a whole lot of time. Here’s how:
· Switch to generic – If you’re taking a brand-name drug, you know how high the cost can be. And if you’re paying part of that cost out of pocket, it can add up. Check with your doctor to see if there’s a generic version of your drug and if it’s ok for you to switch. Generics are just as safe and effective as brand-name drugs, they contain the same active ingredient(s) and they can save you some serious cash! Learn more
· Sign up for home delivery of your meds – Home delivery* is perfect for medicines you take on a regular basis for a long time. Like for asthma, high blood pressure or allergies. When you sign up for home delivery, your monthly medicine is mailed right to you, with free, standard delivery. Our plan may offer savings on a 90-day supply through home delivery. · Save time and money with over-the-counter drugs – If you have allergies or occasional indigestion, you may not need to see a doctor for relief. Over-the-counter (OTC) drugs can treat these common conditions. They aren’t covered by your health plan, but OTC drugs can save you time and money because you don’t need to see a doctor for a prescription. Ask your doctor if an OTC is right for you.
