International Fraternity Officer Job Description
Position: ALUMNAE REGIONAL COORDINATING SPECIALIST
Position Overview / The Alumnae Regional Coordinating Specialist serves as a key member of the regional team to realize the attainment of Fraternity goals by assisting in areas where the team needs support in managing a higher number of alumnae groups.She assists her specific regional team in assessing the needs of that region in meeting the Fraternity goals, has a thorough understanding of the alumnae leadership model and uses that understanding to support programs and activities that result in assuring the health and wellbeing of the alumnae member segment.For the 2011-2013 biennium, this position is a pilot, and therefore, the responsibilities and duties are subject to development and change.Key
Responsibilities / Works with members of regional team to assess alumnae segment condition within the region, analyze regional needs, set annual goals and objectives for the region
Assists with Fraternity events in the region
Provides guidance to alumnae organization to show the benefits of membership
Works in collaboration with the Alumnae Regional Membership Specialists (ARMS) and Alumnae Regional Programming Specialists ARPS) in the development and execution of action plans to achieve objectives that center around increasing the number and level of involvement of members and programming for clubs
Provides leadership to clubs in setting goals and action plans for success
Collaborates with ARMS and Headquarters OEE department to analyze member potential in both organized and unorganized areas
Encourages the sharing of practices and lessons learned across regions
Maintains frequent contact with alumnae organizations in the region, regional team members and Grand Vice President Alumnae (GVPA)
Completes other communications (email, letters) as needed/directed
Assists with manual rewrites and publications as needed
Develops/delivers presentations at workshops, alumnae regional events and convention as needed
Promotes life-long membership by working with alumnae organizations to support chapters and insure a smooth transition of chapter seniors from status of collegian to that of alumna
Routinely reviews AC reporting requirements and communicates follow-up with ACs when needed
Review AC by-laws for Fraternity alignment and works with ACs to develop by-laws
Collaborates with CRCSs on correlating issues or pilot projects
Maintains internal regional AC profiles
Coordinates, assists to develop, and reviews social media and websites for AR2 ACs
Publishes AR2 newsletter/minimum of 4 additions annually
Encourages use of best practices in region
Collaborates with ART to deliver regional communications
Reporting Relationships / Reports to Alumnae Regional Director
Interacts with Grand Vice President Alumnae, Grand Vice President Programming, Grand Vice President Membership, Director Philanthropy and Headquarters staff
Travel / Biennial convention: 6 days
Biennial Officers Workshop: 4 days, non-convention year
Alumnae leadership regional events: TBD by alumnae regional team
FDS Signature Events within the region: hotel and meals will be covered by the Fraternity, travel will be paid by the individual or regional team pending ARD/CRD approval
Other events, meetings, workshops and leadership opportunities as requested
Time Commitment / Approximately 10 to 15 hours per week.Many weeks will call for less time;some may call for additional time.This will be determined by time of year and associated activities

Qualifications
Knowledge/ Experience / Experience as a local alumnae organization leader or other experience as either collegiate or alumnae officer above the local level
Broad Fraternity knowledge and perspective, with particular understanding of the alumnae member segment and the alumnae model
