AFWA SILICON VALLEY SCHOLARSHIP 2017-2018
The Silicon Valley Chapter of the Accounting and Financial Woman’s Alliance (AFWA) has been awarding scholarships since 1976 and has distributed over $70,000 during that time. Striving to assist the next generation of professionals, we will be offering two $2,500 scholarships to assist with education and career development.

AFWA Silicon Valley scholarship eligibility requirements:
- Shall be a part-time or full time student pursuing an associate’s, bachelors or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or tax.
- Shall be in their second year of the degree program and have completed 25 semester units or equivalent, or be enrolled in a master’s program, by the application deadline.
- Shall have maintained a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Shall be attending an accredited college, university or professional school of accounting or finance.
- Applicants are not required to be a member of AFWA.

The application packet must consist of the following to be eligible for consideration:
- A complete Silicon Valley Chapter scholarship application with short essay.
- A current college transcript (displaying 25 semester units).
- One or two signed letters of recommendation.

AFWA Silicon Valley Chapter Scholarship winners will be notified by the end of March 2018. The scholarship will be issued at our membership dinner meeting on Tuesday, April 24th, 2018.
