Entering Grades in JPAMS

  1. Open JPAMS and login with your username and password. After logging in you will see a window that looks like this:
  1. Click on Grades.
  1. On the next screen, on the bottom right side of the page is a pink box. Click once to check Report Card Mode. (If you were doing a Progress Report, you would check Progress Report Mode.) Click Ok.

  1. In the next box, click Continue.
  1. At the bottom of the next screen,

You should see Teacher:

“your name” and Course:. Click

On the arrow next to Course and

You will see a list of the classes

you teach. Click on the one you

want to put grades in for.

  1. You should now have your class roster. Click in the block for the grading period you want to enter grades for. Put the numeric grade only. It will automatically put in the letter grade.

  1. Menu Bar:

View Selected Student Information

Contains information such as phone

Numbers.

  • Select student from roster
  • Then click here to view information relevant to the selected student.

  • Year to Search
  • School and District Numbers
  • Semester Display Options
  • Auto Calculate Sem/Final Grades
  • Show Dropped Students

Duplicate a Grade for Marking Periods

Click here to display the Duplicate Grad Dialog and mass post a single grade value to students in this section for selected marking periods.

Post Conduct Grades

Allows you to post Conduct Comments

  1. Grades for the grading period must be posted before you can do this.
  2. Click in any one of the blocks where your grades are posted for the grading period that you want to post Conduct Comments.
  3. Click on the Post Conduct Grades icon, .
  4. Minimize the screen that is up to see the conduct screen. You should see this:

  1. Close the FAQ Box.
  2. 5 comments can be posted for a student, cells C1-C5.
  3. To add a comment to a student in this class, click in the C1 box next to the student’s name. An X will appear in that column. Now click the appropriate comment in the column at the right. The code letters or numbers for that comment will replace the X in the box by the student’s name.

  1. You can post the same comment to more than one student at a time by clicking in the comment cell next to each of the students. An X will appear next to all you have selected. Then click on the comment. The code letters or numbers for that comment will replace the X in the box by the all of the students you selected.

  1. Those comments whose code begins with N will print in the Needs Improvement section of the Report Card. Those comments whose code begins with P will print in the Shown Improvement section of the report cards. Those comments with Number codes will print in the Teacher Comments section of the Report Card.
  2. To delete a comment, click in that box by the student’s name and click on the blank line at the top of the comment list.
  3. The JPAMS program automatically saves to the student grade record as soon as a comment is placed in the cell.
  4. When finished, click Quit at the bottom of the screen.
