Workshop will be held at a University of Manchester Hall of Residence approx 2 miles south of the City Centre and main train stations. Maps of the city, local area and campus can be downloaded from the University website

There are driving directions below and a map of the immediate locality to help those who need to park at the venue.

Parking is within the site most easily accessed from Anson Road into Denison Road. Turning from Anson Road into Denison Road there is a large gate entrance close to the junction that leads into the site, parking is in small bays parallel to Anson Road or in a large parking area close to the gate.

Getting to Dalton-Ellis Hall by car

From M60 (East)

  • Leave M60 at J12 and join M602 Salford for 4 miles.
  • At the end of the motorway, join A57 signpost Manchester, joining A57M after 1 mile.
  • Continue up the A34 (Upper Brook Street which leads onto Anson Road), past the hospital on your right, over the next set of traffic lights (Hathersage Road)
  • To arrive at the pedestrian entrance turn right at Oxford Place. Dalton Ellis Hall can be found to the left on Conyngham Road.
  • For parking continue on A34 to Denison Road (going past Dalton Ellis behind the wall on the right), car park entrance on the right through gates immediately on turning into Denison Road

From M56

  • At J3 of the M56, continue towards Manchester along M5103 Manchester for 4 miles on Princes
    Parkway/Princess Road.
  • Turn right at the traffic lights (signed Whitworth Art Gallery, Museum & Universities) into Moss Lane East at the Royal Brewery.
  • At the next traffic lights (Whitworth Pub on the right) follow the sign ‘Victoria Park Halls’ and cross over Wilmslow Road into Oxford Place.
  • To arrive at the pedestrian entrance from Oxford Place, Dalton Ellis Hall can be found to the left on Conyngham Road.
  • For parking continue along Conyngham Road to Denison Road, car park entrance on the left through gates just before you come to the end of Denison Road.

From M67

  • At motorway end, continue along the A57 for approximately 3 miles (towards the city centre).
  • At the roundabout (Apollo Theatre on left-hand side), take the 2nd exit – Brunswick Street, signposted
    Universities.
  • Turn left at the first set of traffic lights – on to Upper Brook Street (which becomes Anson Road).
  • Continue south for approximately 1 mile, past the hospital on you right, over the next set of traffic lights (Hathersage Road)
  • To arrive at the pedestrian entrance turn right at Oxford Place. Dalton Ellis Hall can be found to the left on Conyngham Road.
  • For parking continue on A34 to Denison Road (going past Dalton Ellis behind the wall on the right), car park entrance on the right through gates immediately on turning into Denison Road

Central Manchester/Piccadilly Railway station by bus to the venue

The venue is within theUniversity Halls area, journey time is 10-15 mins.

Buses from the town centre come along Oxford Roador along Upper Brook Street to Anson Road (2 parallel roads).

The venue is closest to Anson Road routes but there may be more buses along Oxford Road (getting off at stop afterHathersageRoad/after hospitals) would mean a 10 minmax walk along Oxford Place.
