Notes:This Practical Assignment assesses the student's knowledge of how a Spreadsheet program such as Excel can be used. It tests his or her understanding and practical skill of normal everyday operations of a spreadsheet program.
The Assignment consists of approx. 20 basic tasks and the total time allowed to complete it is 60 minutes.

Flannerys Wholesale supply boxes of jeans to a number of shops in the Dublin area. The spreadsheet below shows the number of boxes delivered to ten different shops over three days:
Carry out the following tasks:
- Open the spreadsheet program Excel ..
- Enter all the details into a new spreadsheet.
- Saveit to My Documents and call itBOX1.
- Printthe spreadsheet.
- Sortthe shops in alphabetical order.
- Align Rightthe names of the shops.
- Deleterow 6 - 'Just In'.
- Deletecolumn 4 -'Wed'.
- Inserta new row between 'Flannerys Wholesale' and 'Shop'.
- Inserta column between 'Shop' and 'Mon'.
- Enter in CellB2 the words 'PriceperBox'.
- Enter in Cell B3 the figures '34.53' and Format to Currency
- Enter in CellB11 the words 'Total per Day'.
- In Cell C11,use the AutoSum functionto ADD the Total number of boxes delivered to all the shops on 'Mon'.
- Copy and Paste the formula into CellD11.
- Enter in Cell E3 the words 'Average per Day'.
- In CellE4, use the PasteFunction to calculate the Average number of boxes delivered to 'Bewleys' shop.
- Fill Down the formula for all the other shops.
- Enter in CellA13 the words 'OverallTotal'.
- In CellB13, use the EditFormula functionto ADD the totals for 'Mon' and 'Tue'.
- Enter in CellA14 the words 'OverallCost'.
- In CellB14, use the AutoSum functionto MULTIPY the 'OverallTotal' by the 'PriceperBox'.
- Format the answer to Currencyto 2 decimal places
- Merge and Centerthe heading 'Flannerys Wholesale'.
- Save the spreadsheet As a new name, BOX2.
- Printthe spreadsheet.
- Change the number of boxes sold to 'Stax' on 'Mon' to 46.
- Change the number of boxes sold to 'Galligans' on 'Tue' to 75.
- Save the spreadsheet As a new name, BOX3.
- Printthe spreadsheet.
- Closeall open documents.
- Exitthe spreadsheet program Excel.
