The purpose of this amendment is toprovide RRPS’s written response to the questions that have been timely submitted (see following list). All other BID terms, conditions, specifications, requirements and criteria remain unchanged.
Question #1: Would you like attachment 1 (Project Listing Form) organized behind the submittal letter, or included with section 6 of the evaluation criteria (volume of work previously done; page 16).
Response:
Question #2: Does Rio Rancho Public Schools have any on-call consultants that will be working and coordinating efforts with the A/E design team? (For example a LEED Consultant, Acoustic, IT, A/V, Furniture, etc.)
Response:No
Question #3: The RFP has an aggressive design schedule for this size of the building. Is the intent of the district to fast-track the design to start the construction in the Fall of 2018 to have the school occupied the Fall of 2019?
Response:The intent of the District is not to fast-track the design but to occupy the new facility in the Fall of 2020. The time frame for each design element remains unchanged with the exception of time to secure a CMAR.
Question #4: The RFP specifies that the standard contract is the PSFA Version 1.1 …Construction Manager at Risk Agreement found at the NMPSFA website. The RFP includes however a different agreement. Please clarify.
Response:A PSFA Contract willnotbe used – use the one in the RFP (Tom and I spent days working on that it was derived from CNM)
Question #5:The RFPincludes aproposed schedule of services with dates, totaling about 26 weeks for programming through CD’s. Has a final completion date been identified? Will 26 week schedule be flexible or impacted by the final completion date?
Response: It is the District intend that SSPS will be open and read for full utilization Fall 2020.
Question #6:At what point in the design phases does RRPS propose to bring the construction manager into the design process?
Response: The Design Professional will work on programming which be utilized for the RFP for CMAR Services. The design will be on hold until a CMAR is awarded in order to gain the full advantage of CMAR.
