Worship Minister Job Description

Hours: 15-20 hours per week

Primary objectives:

·  Oversee and develop the worship ministry team of Iowa City Church of Christ (IC3).

·  Work with the Lead Pastor to determine the weekly order of service.

·  Schedule a weekly worship practice with the team leading the service.

·  Lead, or assign someone to lead, both of our Sunday morning worship services (9:00 or 10:30 a.m.)

·  Responsible for making sure the song lyrics and presentation software is prepared for each worship service.

·  Reports to the Lead Pastor

Requirements:

·  Follower of Jesus Christ.

·  Preferred, a degree in Christian ministry. (Or working toward)

·  Comfortable working with a team of instrumentalists and vocalists.

Compensation:

·  This is a part-time ministry position. Compensation will be based upon the applicant’s experience.
