Delegate Conduct and Dress Code Agreement

Chapter Advisor (Send to Oklahoma TSA) - Deadline: March25, 2017

After reading this form, each Local Advisor/delegation attending the TSA State Conference should obtain the required signatures on the Practices and Procedures and Dress Code Form and return it to the State advisor as partial completion of attendance requirements.

State Conference Dress Code

The official TSA dress and casual TSA wearing apparel are considered appropriate dress. Therefore, we urge chapter advisors to encourage all delegates to wear official TSA dress or businesslike attire as the occasions may demand.

Conduct Practices and Procedures

1.The term "delegate" shall mean any TSA member, including advisors, attending the state conference.

2.Chapter advisors will be responsible for the conduct of their delegates.

3.Delegates shall keep their chapter advisors informed of their activities and whereabouts at all times.

4.Delegates should be prompt and prepared for all activities and identification badges will be worn at all times.

5.Delegates are required to attend all general sessions and activities assigned, including workshops, competitive events, committee meetings, etc., for which they are registered unless engaged in some specific assignment taking place at the same time.

6.No delegates shall leave the hotel (except for authorized events) unless permission has been received from the chapter advisor.

7.Conference delegates not staying at the hotel shall be off the grounds of the hotel by curfew or immediately following the last scheduled event.

8.No alcoholic beverages, narcotics, or tobacco in any form shall be allowed at any time, under any circumstances.

9.There shall be no defacing of public property. The individual or chapter responsible must pay any damages to any property or furnishings in the hotel rooms or building.

10.Delegates should not be left at the conference without adult supervision.

11.Delegates violating or ignoring any of the conduct rules will subject their entire delegation to being unseated and their candidates or competitive event participants being disqualified. Individual delegates may be sent home immediately at their own expense. Curfew will be enforced. (Curfew means delegates will be in assigned rooms.)

Our delegation has read and agrees to abide by the TSA Code of Conduct. The TSA Chapter Advisors and the State TSA staff have permission to send school’s delegate(s) home from the activity at their expense, provided that he/she has violated the Delegate Conduct Practices and Procedures and/or Dress Code and/or his/her conduct has become a detriment to the safety of himself/herself or other delegates or persons.
