Course Request Instructions: 2017-2018

Current 8th Graders must complete their Course Requests for High School through the AERIES portal. Course requests will allow your high school to review and place your student in the optimal courses for the next academic school year.

Course Requests will be available for both the student and parent Aeries Portals as follows:

Agoura High School: Incoming 9th (current 8th graders ) March 24, 2017 to March 31, 2017

Calabasas High School: Incoming 9th (current 8th graders) March 10, 2017 to March 31, 2017

New Student to Las Virgenes USD:
Once your student is added to our AERIES student information system, you should receive an email with portal login information.
This email from will provide your username and password to the portal.
If you do not receive an email after you enroll with the school site, please contact the school so they can either:
-- Add your student’s record
-- Correct the email address on file
-- Generate a Verification Code so you can bypass the automatic email process
Existing Student Needing an Aeries Account:
1.  Go to the website: http://student.lvusd.org
2.  Click on ‘Create New Account’ and select account type: Student
3.  Enter your issued Student Gmail Account ( ending in ‘@student.lvusd.org’ )
4.  Enter your Student Perm. ID as your password and press Submit
5.  Wait 10 minutes and your account will auto-activate ( do not follow instructions in your email )
6.  Return to website: http://student.lvusd.org and login with your email address and Student ID
** If it states you already have an account, go to the website: http://student.lvusd.org
a.  Click on ‘Forgot Password?’
b.  Enter your issued Student Account ending in ‘@student.lvusd.org’
c.  Log into http://gmail.lvusd.org with your student account
d.  Follow the instructions in the email from

How to Submit Your Course Requests:

New Students to High School - Incoming 9th Graders & other New Students:
Students new to the school will need to select the ‘Pre-Enroll’ drop down.
When logging into your portal, please be sure to select your pre-enrolled record by:
1.  Log into your portal http://parent.lvusd.org
2.  Select ‘Change Student’ in the upper right hand corner of your screen
3.  Click on your student’s record that states ‘Pre-Enrolled’

4. Continue with instructions in next box.
If your student does not have the correct ‘Pre-Enrolled’ school in their drop-down, please contact the high school so they can:
-- Correct your student’s next school field
-- Add a ‘Pre-Enrolled’ record for your student
1.  Log in to your Aeries Student Portal / Student Portal: http://student.lvusd.org
2.  To enter the Course Request form:
a.  Select ‘Student Info’ in the upper left menu bar
b.  Click on ‘Course Request Entry’ /

3.  To find a course, Type in the ‘Course Name’ or ‘Course Number’ and click on search
Course Catalog:

To select a course, click on the Course and it will be added to your Primary Request. /
4.  To remove a course, click on the red ‘X’ next to the course. /
5.  To schedule an Alternate
a.  Click on the ‘Add Alternate’
b.  Type in the ‘Course Name’ or ‘Course Number’ and click on search
c.  Click on the Course to add to your ‘Alternate Request’ /
