Renaissance Festival General Information and Chaperone Request Form

Date of Festival: Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017

Time: All students and chaperones need to arrive at school by the morning bell at 8:25 am.We will be loading the buses and leaving Altadena PROMPTLY after announcements. We will also be leaving the festival at 2:00pm to assure that we return at school by 3:30pm. Students will take their normal mode of transportation home from school.

What to bring: Students need to bring money for lunch, wear casual, comfortable shoes, and bring a jacket. Please pay attention to the weather on the morning of the festival. Prices for individual food and drink items vary, but are generally $4- $6. Students may bring their own sack lunch, but they must carry it, as there are no storage facilities. Games and rides are $2 - $8 each.

DO’s AND DON’Ts for Renaissance Festival Field Trip:

1. NO big backpacks. A little backpack/purse or ‘fanny’ pack will be fine.

2. Studentsand chaperones must be here by the first bell of the school day at 8:25. (Buses are

scheduled to leave for the festival promptly after the announcements.)

3. Students mayNOT buy weapons of any kind at the festival, including any blow up weapons.

4. Every student has to stay with their assigned group and chaperone for the entire day.

5. No eating/drinking on the bus. Only water bottles are permissible on the bus.

6. If students decide to bring their lunch, they should be prepared to carry it with

them, as there are no storage facilities on the fairgrounds.

Please detach and return the bottom portion if you would like to volunteer to chaperone this event.You must be willing to chaperone a group of 6-7 students and ride the bus to and fromthe festival.
