Junior Members Code of Conduct
Egham Cricket Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all its members. The Club believes that it is important that members, coaches, administrators, parents, and all others associated with the club should, at all times, show respect, be encouraged to be open and honest, and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the Club with the Colts Managers (Mark Kaltner and Neil Herbert) or the Welfare Officers (Allison Arraiol/ Carole Wright).
The Junior Members Code of Conduct applies to all Junior Members of the Club, their parents/carers, officers of the Club, and all guests of those members and officers, as well as all individuals who watch/attend/participate/officiate in matches hosted by the Club in whatever capacity.
All members and guests of Egham Cricket Club will:
- Encourage all participants to learn the Laws and rules, play within them, and respect officials and their decisions
- Recognise fair play and applaud the good performances of all, regardless of the result
- Respect opponents
- Not punish or belittle a member for losing or making mistakes
- Keep to agreed timings for training and competitions, or inform their coach if they are going to be late
- Use correct and proper language at all times
- Arrange transport for their child to/from away matches
- Notify any changes in personal details to the Colts Membership Secretary (Carole Wright) as soon as they occur.
In addition:
- Parents/carers should support their child's involvement and help them to enjoy their sport
- Members should wear suitable kit for training and match sessions, as agreed with the coach: football strips are not permitted
- Junior members are not allowed to smoke on Club premises or whilst representing the club at competitions
- Junior member are not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs of any kind on the club premises or whilst representing the Club.
Photographs
Parents/carers can take photographs at club events (including matches), but they must not be published (i.e. newspaper, internet) without written consent from all the parents/carers of all the children in the photograph.
If you have any objections to official Club photographs being taken and published in the local press or on the Club website, please put your concerns in writing to Neil Herbert / Mark Kaltner (Colts Managers) or Allison Arraiol/ Carole Wright (Welfare Officers).
