The College is looking for members who can commit to a maximum of three days a year to help comment on documents on behalf of the College, or represent the College at external meetings or events.
The documents could be anything from a draft scope of a guideline to a draft guideline report from organisations such as NICE, SIGN and other Royal Colleges. Comments are sought, for example, on whether guidelines contain any controversial or challenging recommendations, or whether the relevant population groups are covered.
Please note that it is a requirement for you to be a member of the RCPCHMembers and fellows may wish to note that confirmation that they are participating in revalidation and CPD to the level required by the GMC is one of the criteria for being in Good Standing with the College.
You will be making a valuable contribution, and may wish to record the learning from your involvement in your CPD Diary or training portfolio.
