Scope

The Training Advisor is a senior member of the Design and Delivery team. The role contributes to the success of the team through:

›Conducting needs analysis, developing proposals, programs and packages to meet client needs

›Ensuring programs are appropriately resourced and allocated across the team

›Delivering training programs across a range of topic areas and mediums

›Account management of small to medium sized clients

This position works closely with the Marketing team to identify clients learning needs, manage client relationships and deliver highly-valued services in keeping with Gowrie’s purpose and strategic direction.

Responsibilities

Gowrie Victoria is a flexible learning organisation. As such, the following is a list of indicative responsibilities for this role.

Training Needs Analysis, Design and Development

›Analyse learning needs for ECEC service-based programs and small to medium sized clients and develop proposals to meet those needs

›Drawing on Gowrie’s extensive library of programs and services, design “quick customised” or packaged solutions, typically for small to medium sized clients

›Follow through on proposals with clients to ensure they are meeting client’s needs and ensure they are actioned in a timely manner

›Provide learning and development expertise and input into proposals prepared by the Business Development Specialist for medium to large sized clients and projects

›As required, develop or update learning programs to support Gowrie’s work in early childhood and adjacent markets

›Plan course calendars, with input from Business Development Specialist and the Adult Learning team,

Quality and Compliance

›Assist in updating programs in keeping with compliance requirements and changes to qualifications

›Support the Team Leader to manage the moderation and validation processes for all accredited and non-accredited programs.

Delivery of Learning Programs and Services

›Deliver programs that demonstrate good practice in ECEC, including both “in room” practice,leadership and management using a variety of mediums (e.g. face-to-face, blended online, etc)

Evaluation and Reporting

›Assess outcomes of training programs to ensure they are meeting client needs. Make recommendations for change as required to meet those needs

›Report on progress of proposals and fee for service training programs and packages.

Learning Delivery - Allocation

›Allocate facilitators to programs (including various modes such as face-to-face, blended and online, as well as accredited, non-accredited and customised programs) to ensure we meet client expectations and ensure good outcomes for students

›Monitor and report on staff utilisation across the Adult Learning delivery team, ensuring potential gaps and opportunities are identified and actioned appropriately.

Account Management and Customer Relationships

›Develop and maintain productive relationships and account manage Gowrie’s small to medium-sized clients (typically ECEC services)

Required Competencies and Attributes

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

›Experience in Learning and Development, including needs analysis, learning design and delivery

›Customer focussed approach; able to clearly articulate customer needs and develop solutions to meet those needs

›Experience in the social enterprise/Not-for-Profit sector preferred

›Understanding of or willingness to learn sales process; ability to convert enquiries into sales

›Able to operate in a fast-paced, outcomes driven environment; able to meet targets

Qualification, Certification and Training

›Certificate IV in Training and Assessment preferred

›Bachelor level qualification in either Business, HR, Early Childhood, Education, Social Services or related fields preferred
