THE D.Y.M.O.N SCHOLARSHIP
(Dynamic Young Minorities of Nashville)
“Shine bright like a diamond”
Objective:To promote scholastic excellence and provide support to individuals desiring elevated education.
Eligibility:The applicant must be:
-Minority female OR male of color
-High school senior
- Attending high school in Davidson County ONLY
-Already accepted into a four year college/university
Provide the following documents:
-3.0 GPA (Official Transcript)
-Involved in community service within the current school year
- College /University Acceptance Letter
Awards: Grand prize winner will receive a $1,500-$2,000 scholarship to their four year college or university of choice.
The Process:
1.) Send in application and essay before deadline March 3, 2014
2.) Receive an interview date
3.) Meet with a panel to be interviewed
(The interview and essay will be put against a point scale- Score is based on the content and flow of applicant’s essay, and their preparation for their interview. Applicant’s essay and interview scores will be combined and top scoring applicant will receive the D.Y.M.O.N Scholarship.
***The scholarship recipient will be presented their award at The Annual Beauty&BRAINS Fashion Show by the Scholarship Director – Ms. Brittany Bowers.***
