To help you start on the process of creating an eCommerce Initiative, please answer the following questions. Your answers should be no longer than one paragraph for each question (except for the last questions on value Chains) and in some cases can be answered with a single sentence. Proper grammar and correct spelling factor heavily on the perception of viability of your plan and in getting a good grade on this assignment.
Each of the following 5 questions will be worth 15 points each.
1) What is the product(s) or service(s) you intend to offer for your eCommerce Initiative??
2) Which of the six EC perspectives outlined on pages 7 & 8 of your text does your intended offering satisfy? How does it satisfy those particular perspectives? (Can be more than one)
3) Does your eCommerce Initiative intend on using some of the typical ecommerce business models? (Page 35-38 in the text; extra resource: http://www.iusmentis.com/business/ecommerce/businessmodels/ )? If so, which ones and why? If you are not using any of the typical EC business models, describe your business model(s).
4) Which of benefits of EC described in your textbook would be of advantage to your eCommerce Initiative (page 18-21 in the text) ?
5) Which of the limitations of EC described in your text would hamper the development or growth of your Initiative (page 21&22 in the text)? Can you think of ways to overcome these limitations?
The following question will be worth 25 points and should require about a page to answer correctly.
6) Describe and analyze the Value Chain for your intended eCommerce Initiative? (see page 23-28 of the text; extra resource: http://www.netmba.com/strategy/value-chain/ )
