Example

I readRunning for her Life, a story about a famous Cuban runner named Ana Fidelia Quirot. Ana Quirot overcame difficulties in her life and became one of the fastest runners in the world. When she was young, she said, “If I work hard, I can be the fastest girl in Cuba.” She was very hard-working and I was very impressed by her determination. For example, she was burned very badly and stayed in the hospital for five months, but she did not give up on running. She had many things against her like her age and her accident, but nothing stopped her! I really liked the story. The only thing that I did not like was that the storyended in 1996, and I wanted to learn more about Ana’s life after the Olympics. I learned some new words. For example, a courage is a noun that means fearlessness at a difficult or dangerous time, and courageous is an adjective describing someone with courage. When I read about courageous people, it inspires me to be more courageous also.
