INFORMATION AND ENTRY FORM

In May 2011 the TTVN Cadets´ Grand Prix will be staged for the 25th time in Rinteln.

In the past few years, the TTVN Grand Prix was a cadet tournament. It is now a singles competition in 4 categories (boy cadet A, girl cadet A, boy cadets B, girl cadets B – see definition below) for 32 boys and 16 girls each from 16 invited select teams.

It is the objective of the TTVN Cadets’ Grand Prix to give participating players the chance to compete with as many strong opponents as possible. The playing format provides a sufficient number of matches for all players, as there will be a play – off for all final position. Because of the point system of the TTVN Cadets Grand Prix, even the lower ranks are important, as each final position will earn a certain number of points for the aggregate.

In this season, the TTVN Cadets’ Grand Prix will take place in Rinteln (50 km west of Hannover), 13. – 15 May, 2011

PLAYING SYSTEM:Boys-Cadets Singles

2 players each per select team

(i.e. 2 A cadets/2 B cadets)

Preliminary Round: to be played in groups, “round robin”

Team members will be drawn into different groups

Intermediate Round + Final Round: Placement matches, i.e. play-off for all final positions

Girls-Cadets Singles

1 player each per select team

(i.e. 1 A cadet/ 1 B cadet) = a total of 16 players

Preliminary Round: to be played in groups, “round robin”

Intermediate Round + Final Round: Placement matches, i.e. play-off for all final positions

MATCH TIMES:The time of each match will be displayed or announced by the Tournament organiser.

RULES:The current Laws and Regulations for International Competitions of the ITTF (German version) will apply

PRIZES:Individual classification:

In each event, the first three places will be awarded medals.

At the end of the tournament, the Grand Prix placings of all events will be added up and the association with the most number of points will be the winner of the TTVB Cadets’ Grand Prix 2009. The first three associations will receive prize money for their youth promotions. In the case of equality of points, the final positions shall be decided by the number of better placings (e.g. 1;3;3 is better than 2;2;3).

Due to the fact that this year some teams cancelled their participation at short notice, we regret to have to ask for advance payment and we will send you an invoice early next year.

Please note that most of the rooms contain several beds. There is, however, a limited number of single rooms for coaches ect. These cost an additional Euro 50,00 per night

TRAVEL DETAILS:Each participating association will receive, together with the letter of invitation, a suggested route and a map of Rinteln and vicinity. Teams arriving by rail will be met at Bückeburg Railway Station.

Attention:Due of the numerous and short term consolations, we are unfortunately forced to charge past of the tournament fee in advance.

Please pay with your entry – registration 300,- Euro as past of the tournament fee to the following back account:

We would like to point out that the registration will only be valid without the receipt of the first payment of the tournament free.

In case of a short term cancellation the organizer reserves itself the right to keep back the costs caused by the cancellation remaining.
