Directions to Tyson Building

Directions to Dept. of Corrections, Central Office, AMHI Complex, Tyson Building 3rd Floor - 25 Tyson Drive, Augusta, ME 04333

From the South (you can take this exit or the other exit “from the north”)

Take Exit Number 109, merge onto Western Ave/US-202 E/ME-17E

Follow Western Ave all the way down to the rotary

Take 2nd exit off rotary

Go across Memorial Bridge

Take right just before next rotary onto Hospital Street (you will see signs for Rt 17)

Stay in right lane through two sets of lights.

Go straight through second set of lights

After Rite Aid you will come to a third set of lights.

Take right onto Tyson Drive

(if you follow that all the way in, you will enter a small parking lot as you turn the corner you will see the Tyson Building in front of you. (you’d be lucky to find a parking spot).

If you do not find a spot, drive back onto Tyson Drive and take your first left, this will bring you around a loop into a larger parking area at the ends of Deering Building and Marquardt buildings. When facing the Marquardt building walk to the right of the building along the walk way. When you get to the end, take a right and follow the path which brings you to the Tyson Building.

From the North (this exit works for both South and North Bound)

Take I95 south bound to Augusta

Take exit 113 onto ME3 toward Belfast/Augusta

Go. 2.4 miles

Turn Right onto Riverside Drive, which turns into Bangor Street

Continue straight until you come to the rotary (you will go through a couple sets of lights)

Take 3rd exit off rotary, onto Hospital Street (you will see signs for Rt 17)

Stay in right lane

Go straight through lights.

After Rite Aid you will come to another set of lights

take a right onto Tyson Drive (AMHI Complex)

(if you follow that all the way in, you will enter a small parking lot as you turn the corner you will see the TysonBuilding in front of you. (you’d be lucky to find a parking spot).

If you do not find a spot, drive back onto Tyson Drive and take your first left, this will bring you around a loop into a larger parking area at the ends of DeeringBuilding and Marquardt buildings. When facing the Marquardt building walk to the right of the building along the walk way. When you get to the end, take a right and follow the path which brings you to the TysonBuilding.

The Department of Corrections is on the third floor, you must sign in and out at the reception area. This is also where the Board of Corrections Meetings will be held.
