Position Summary
Our Health Care Practice Group is seeking to hire a motivated mid-level corporate associate to join our Jericho, NY office. This is an excellent opportunity to join Nixon Peabody’s national health care practice, which has been named “Law Firm of the Year” in Health Care Law by U.S. News and World Report. U.S. News-Best Lawyers also selected Nixon Peabody as the top health care law firm in its 2016 survey. Only one U.S. law firm achieves this top distinction each year.
The ideal candidate will have approximately three to five years of corporate experience working on mergers & acquisitions and other business transactions for private and public companies, and a broad knowledge of general corporate law to work on matters in the areas of private equity, venture capital, and commercial finance transactions. Experience with healthcare and/or life sciences transactions is a plus, and the expectation is the candidate will provide services to clients in a wide variety of industries.

With 80+ attorneys practicing health care law on a full-time basis in California, Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Washington, DC, Nixon Peabody is at the heart of the health care industry. The firm’s health care practice works with more than 1,500 clients nationwide including hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, accountable care organizations, long-term care facilities, IPAs and medical groups, and other types of providers.
